Many people are so afraid of being fired or let go by their employer, and it really bothers me, because this employer you have shouldn't be the only one you have, and you really should have thousands of potential employers.
When people talk about the scarcity of job offers, or that many people have been let go because of Covid19, I only put the blame on them, I'll tell you why in a second.
"A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because, her trust is not on the branch but on its wings"
If we apply this here, meaning that you are a bird now, your trust should not be that your employer won't let you go, but rather on your wings, which refers to your skills, experience, knowledge, and your ability to find a thousand job, then choose between them.
You might feel that I'm just excited maybe or that I'm exaggerating, but that isn't true.
By the time I was 15, I had so many job offers, interviews, and I was even working as a freelancer with companies who never worked with freelancers, but I was able to convince them and make a win-win situation, and in my country, it's a lot harder to find a job, that we have a high unemployment rate.
Just because I was confident, I wasn't confident because I was the best, but I had 2 statements in mind:
As long as I'm learning each and every day, I'll be doing perfectly.
As long as I'm trying consistently, I'll do more than perfect.
So really you shouldn't rely on your current source of income only, or your current job only, because as a matter of fact you could be let go faster than you could ever imagine, learn each and every day, create your own unique skill-set, and starting making a professional CV, and because you're a bird, you really shouldn't put your trust in the branch.
Hope this was helpful and inspiring, I really wish you a great successful life both personally and professionally, and thanks for your precious time.
