The Flex Culture

The flex culture is killing us, we live in a world where people are defined by wearing logos, driving expensive cars, and being able to afford the latest everything.

This flex culture is making the middle-classed live paycheck to paycheck, ruining people's lives and adding more stress to everyone living in this Era.

If we're seeking personal development, if we really want to grow and achieve more in life, I'd say that the first step should be, quitting the rat race, quitting the constant desire to impress people, because this is the dumbest thing you could ever do, and the fastest road to depression.

Learn to live for yourself, without seeking other people's validation or approval, people can't be defined by what they wear or what they ride, and if they do so then they don't matter to us, because this is a very superficial way to look at people.

I think Edward Norton said it best when he said:

"We buy things we don't need with money we don't have to impress people we don't like"

To be honest, I never read a quote that is accurate to the surrounding situations I see every day.

Also, Sir Warren Buffet said:

" If you buy things you don't need, soon you'll have to sell things you need"

So for all reasons, you don't have to impress people in any way, rather impress yourself with your gratitude about all the things you have, impress yourself with your productivity and achievements, impress it with your personal development, and is every single day, a better person.

Hope that this was helpful and not long, and I wish you a happy life that doesn't include trying to impress people, and thanks for your precious time.
